THIS was the first game of the season and North Tawton came out strong with good rucking and passing between forwards and backs.

North Tawton scored in the first five minutes from Charlotte Castles coming in at pace from full back to score the first of her two tries.

With Cullumpton on the back foot North Tawtons backs ran through their defensive for Tara McLade to score under the posts.

Jo McBain got on the score sheet with a superb pick and drive. Captain Clare Hooper scored twice from penalties.

In all it was a great team effort.

Next week North Tawton ladies are away to Chippin Sodbury.
