A 'BLOOMING Great Tea Party' organised by Taw Valley Creamery in North Tawton helped to raise £104 for Marie Curie Cancer Care by holding a special fundraising day, serving Devon cream teas with clotted cream and homemade scones — all made on site.

Sarah Washington, community fundraiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care, said: 'It was an excellent day and I'm sure all of the staff appreciated the lovely scones that were still warm from the oven in the staff canteen. I would like to thank everyone who helped and brought a cream tea to help raise the much needed funds.'

Monies rasied on the day will help provide nursing care for people in Devon with terminal illnesses. Last year the cancer charity cared for more than 700 patients in Devon providing 36,000 hours of nursing care.
