TO minimise traffic hold-ups and to keep the roads safe during the Ten Tors weekend (May 14 and 15), Okehampton police will be placing 'No Waiting' cones on the east side of Station Road and on both sides of Tors Road.

The cones will be put out from 5pm on Thursday May 12, and will be removed after 6pm on Sunday May 15. The parking restrictions will only apply between Friday and Sunday.

Parking in contravention of the cones will incur a £30 fixed penalty notice.

In extreme cases, the vehicle can be removed, with the owner required to pay the removal fee on top of the £30 fine.

Traffic leaving the camp on Sunday will be diverted directly onto the A30 to reduce disruption to residents.

For further information you can phone Inspector Perry on 08452 777 444, or call in to the police station from 8am-6pm seven days a week.
