THE latest production of the Get Changed Theatre Company is set to put a unique spin on a story from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
The group has been working on 'Star Wars: Episode 4 and a Half, The Last Hope'. The fun re-imagining of George Lucas' 1977 sci-fi blockbuster has been designed to explore the principles of independence, rights, choice and inclusion for all.
In the production, Obi-Wan and Obi-Two will take on the threat of Big Vader and Little Vader, while Luke Skywalker battles to save the princess.
Founded in 1995, Get Changed works with adults with learning disabilities and mental health problems, using role play and performing arts techniques to develop life skills and confidence, promote social inclusion and empower people to realise their full potential.
Participants create, develop and perform inspirational theatre across a broad range of disability issues.
The show takes place on Friday April 13 and Saturday April 14 at Okehampton College's Octagon Theatre from 7.30pm. Tickets are now available at £7 for adults, £4 for children and concessions, and £2 for accompanying carers.
Anyone wanting to attend is advised to pre-order tickets as there may be none available on the door due to demand.
