OKEHAMPTON Library will be full of Christmas cheer this December, as staff and volunteers are planning plenty of festive events.
The library is preparing a tree for the Festival of Trees at All Saints Parish Church. Until December 7, children can visit the library to make tree baubles to hang on the tree.
Throughout December until the big day, children can post their letters to Father Christmas in the library's special Christmas post box, and come back a few days later to get their reply.
On December 14, Rob Pudner from Entertainingly Different will be leading a Christmas story time session at 11am, and the Friends of Okehampton Library will be serving mince pies from 10.30am until noon.
The friends' group is giving library users the chance to win a Christmas hamper, with draw tickets costing £1 each.
They also have a Christmas quiz to test your grey matter. You can pick up copies of the quiz in the library now at a cost of £1 per sheet.
The final festive activity will be a Christmas craft sale on Saturday, December 21 for children to do some cutting, sticking, colouring in and do a wordsearch or crossword.
