MEMBERS of the Okehampton Army Cadet Force on Sunday helped to represent C company (North Devon) in the ACF's county athletics championships.

Okehampton detachment were proud to send eight of their cadets, aged 12 to 18, to the event held at Exeter Arena. They were prouder still to see them return with five first place and seven second place positions in the individual events.

Due to this fine achievement, all eight of the Okehampton cadets have earned a place at the South West Regional Championships in a few weeks where they will compete with other young aspiring athletes.

The Okehampton Army Cadets parade at the cadet huts, Tors Road on Tuesday nights from 7pm until 9.30pm.
