During the last two years Cheriton and Tedburn YFC have been raising money for Little Bridge House Children's hospice Southwest.

They have held many successful events to raise money, including carol singing, a promise auction, dung sales and entertainment performances.

The biggest fundraiser was restoring a tractor to auction — this made a profit of £1,554.28. The club bought a Ford 3000 and set about restoring it to its original condition.

After all this fundraising the club was proud to hand over a cheque for £5301.35 to the Children's Hospice South West. The club are planning to visit the hospice in the near future.

The club also took part in raising money for Cancer Research — members took part in a 24-hour relay and had to walk around Tedburn St Mary football field through the night, helped along by a bar, food and music.

Three members also took to the skies last year to raise money for Marie Curie. They travelled to Dunkeswell air base and sky dived for the first time, raising £500 each for the charity.
