HAVE you ever been to a coffee morning? You can get a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate and biscuits for 50p. There will always be a friendly reception and new people to chat to.
All Saints Church, Okehampton, holds one on the first Saturday of the month and another in the middle of the month at the church hall (nearly opposite the cinema).
There is always a raffle and a stall with delicious home-made cakes and produce.
Down one side of the hall is a well stocked sales table with both useful and decorative items, toys, books, videos, DVDs, jigsaws and sometimes plants for sale at bargain prices.
Many other good causes hold coffee mornings at various venues around the town, usually on Saturday mornings. Try one and you will be both surprised and delighted.
