A GROUP of intrepid 'Flower Fairies' from Chagford were among those who did their magic in aid of the local Hospicare.
The 25 'fairies' from the town, including seven from Chagford Health Centre and five from the local committee, joined 1,200 volunteers who took part in a seven-mile midnight walk on a June night.
The event raised an excellent £2,500 in aid of the local hospice.
Gwyn Chard, the secretary of the charity's Chagford fundraising committee, said: 'Well done walkers of Chagford and a big thank you to them and the many sponsors.'
