HATHERLEIGH History Society will continue a busy period with an illustrated talk and coffee morning fundraiser next week.

On Monday July 9, the group will enjoy an illustrated talk by Dr Bryn Morris on Roman excavations at Cullompton. As usual, the meeting takes place in Old Schools at 7.30pm, and all are welcome. Entry is £2 for non-members.

The following day, the society will be running the Tuesday coffee morning in Old Schools, to raise money for the Old Schools Building Fund.

In June, members visited Poltimore House and Gardens near Exeter instead of holding their usual monthly meeting. The Grade II listed building is undergoing a large restoration project.
