TORRIDGE District Council currently has a vacancy for an independent representative to serve on its audit and governance committee. The role of the audit and governance committee is to scrutinise the authority's financial and non-financial performance and overseas the financial reporting process. It is an opportunity for an individual to get involved in council finances and as such requires someone who is well organised and can apply themselves with great attention to detail.
