THOSE who braved the elements to get to the Winsford Christmas Fair on Saturday were in for a treat.
They were welcomed by a Christmas tree and display of outside lights and the Baptist choir singing carols in the entrance hall at the Victorian themed event.
Five of the rooms in the Voysey building were full of a wide variety of stalls, including hand-made cards, chocolates and jewelery, wooden gifts, home-spun wool and knitted products, old fashioned sweets and local meat, sausages and vegetables.
There was also face painting and a visit to Santa in his Grotto for the children, while the adults enjoyed the mince-pies, hot chestnuts and mulled wine.
