OKEHAMPTON Chamber of Trade has requested the help of volunteers to help take down the town’s Christmas tree and lights in the New Year.
On Sunday, January 8 volunteers will take down the Christmas tree and the Christmas lights currently hanging in the town centre.
Jade Oliver-Deacon, chair of the Chamber of Trade, said: ‘Can I ask you please to save the date and if you are free, please come down and help.
‘Sadly, there were very few volunteers to help us when we put the trees and lights up the other week, so if you are able to give up a couple of hours on Sunday, I would be very grateful.
‘May I take this opportunity to wish you and your families a healthy and happy new year.’
