AN Okehampton cadet is looking for support from the public to win a public vote and become an ambassador for the CVQO.

Megan Hansen, a cadet with 2443 Okehampton Squadron Air Training Corps, was one of 26 cadets chosen from thousands nationally to make a shortlist for the CVQO Duke of Westminster Award. She was unlucky to not make the final nine finalists but she now has the chance to be named as a regional ambassador for the CVQO. To get this far Megan has had to prove her qualities as a great cadet and demonstrate the benefits the CVQO qualification has given her.

Megan said: 'I think I should be the CVQO regional ambassador because I think I want to go the extra mile in passing on my experience and knowledge, helping other people reach their full potential and to be the best they can be.'
