I WRITE in response to the letter from David Luckhurst (August 8) about waste and recycling.
We are very proud to be the top recycling authority in Devon and amongst the best in the UK. Every effort is made to run the collections smoothly but if for any reason, the service falls short, we encourage residents to contact us as soon as possible so that we have the full facts and can rectify the situation quickly. We value residents' feedback which helps us monitor and improve the service.
We can be contacted online at http://www.westdevon.gov.uk">www.westdevon.gov.uk, by email to [email protected]">[email protected], by phone on 01822 813600, or in person by visiting our offices in either Tavistock or Okehampton.
Recycling diverts waste away from costly landfill and conserves resources for future generations. This is something we should all be a proud of.
