PARKLANDS Swim School has giving a scholarship to a boy for his courage and willingness to overcome any difficulties in his training.

William Stormont, aged nine and who attends the swim class on Mondays at 4.30pm, was nominated by the teachers of Parklands Swim School for its award one scholarship.

Christine Gallie, swim school co-ordinator at Parklands Leisure Centre, said: 'Despite some initial difficulties he has finally managed to leave stage one and go into stage two.

'William gives it his all and has overcome some real terrors to get this far. He is now coming on in leaps and bounds and his teachers are really pleased with him.'

Parklands Swim School still has some places available for the rest of this term, or names can be taken for our waiting list for the January term.
