WONDERWORKS 2009, a large craft fair featuring 20 exhibitors from across the South West, will be held in the Jubilee Hall, Chagford, on Saturday and Sunday, November 21 and 22.

Joint co-ordinator Alison West said Wonderworks grew out of a desire by a group of local makers to provide a platform not only to show their work to the public and make it available for sale, but to guarantee a high quality of workmanship across a wide variety of craft.

Now in its seventh year, Wonderworks 2009 will include ceramics, jewellery, textiles, metal and woodwork, baskets, bookbinding and furniture.

It will open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4.30pm on Sunday.

As well as meeting the makers and viewing their work, visitors can indulge in tempting treats from Chagford's Courtyard Café, which is available on site throughout the event.

The majority of this year's exhibitors are Devon based, several being members of the Devon Guild.

This is the perfect opportunity to source unique gifts for Christmas as well as supporting local craftworkers.

This year Wonderworks will be fundraising for the Exeter-based cancer charity, Force.

There will be a raffle of original pieces of work by each of the participating artists, the proceeds from which will enable the charity to continue its valuable work supporting anyone affected by cancer.
