BIG bugs and butterflies was the theme of a colourful art workshop at Shebbear College on February 25.

Children from a number of local preparatory and primary schools enjoyed the free workshop, spending the afternoon creating their creatures from paint, coloured card, fabric and a range of craft materials.

At the end of the day, each child got to take home their art work, art materials and a certificate.

The college is holding an open day on Bank Holiday Monday, May 7. Everyone is welcome to come along and see the college facilities.
