JOYCE Brockman hosted her 12th annual coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support last Friday.

Joyce holds a coffee morning at Okehampton's Fairplace Church each year in memory of her husband John, who died 13 years ago and was cared for by Macmillan nurses. Since 1999, she has raised around £10,000 for the charity by taking part in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.

Joyce said: 'I'm feeling very tired but very happy. Lots of people turned out and we managed to raise £1,000 which is just wonderful.'

Joyce expressed thanks to everyone who supported the event and made it such a great success.
