OKEHAMPTON town centre was buzzing with egg-citement over the Easter weekend as 139 children took part in an Easter egg hunt with a twist.

Children had to hunt out ten Easter bunnies hidden in ten shop windows dotted around the town — including a sneaky bunny hiding in the window of the Times offices.

Youngsters on the hunt had to make a note of where each bunny was hiding to win an Easter egg.

The event was sponsored by Okehampton and District Chamber of Trade.

Event organiser and town promotion manager Lisa Wadling said: 'It was so popular we ran out of eggs to give out, and had to run off and get some more.

'The event brought a lot of people into the town, and there was a really great buzz.

'It was a great event, and hopefully we can run more events as popular as this soon.'
