RESIDENTS of Okehampton can have their say about Okehampton Community Hospital in an effort to improve future services.

Patients can choose from a list of 20 priorities for the Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust to consider, covering anything from dementia and end-of-life care to hydration, and put forward their own ideas about what the hospital is doing well, or where it could improve.

Every submission will be used to shape the Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust's annual quality account, which updates people on their trust's constant efforts to improve services. The report looks back at the previous year and sets out priorities for the future.

The trust's staff and other stakeholders are also being consulted.

If you would like to help, visit the 'News' section of the trust website at http://www.northdevonhealth.nhs.uk">www.northdevonhealth.nhs.uk

If you wish to submit your thoughts, you must do so by Tuesday, May 7. Previous quality accounts are also available to read online.

Carolyn Mills, director of nursing, said: 'This is all about making small changes that, over time, can make a big difference for patients and carers.

'We've compiled a long list of ideas for improving the quality of care during the coming year, but now we'd like the people we serve to tell us what they think.

'Please do take a few minutes to have your say — we'd love to hear from you.'
