ADVENT has now begun and Winkleigh Community Centre and Village Hall will be full of Christmas cheer for the Winkleigh Yuletide Fayre on Saturday, December 6.

The day's activities start in the village hall with a Christmas market from 1pm. Highlights include a Christmas grotto where children can meet Father Christmas and there will be hot refreshments too.

Later in the afternoon, the Hatherleigh Ukulele Bashers will be performing in the square with the grand finale of the Christmas lights switch on. There will be a best dressed elf competition and judging of the village best dressed Christmas window competition.
