Okehampton Argyle 0 Alphington 3 OKEHAMPTON turned out a Jekyll and Hyde performance that has summed up their season to date. After their 1-0 win at Tavistock the previous Wednesday evening they should have played with determination, but with a combination of players missing they succumbed to an Alphington side that have now won their last three games. Within the tenth minute Jason Cordice weaved his way into the penalty area only to slice his shot wide. Ten minutes later and Adam Mortimer was unlucky to see his near post effort flash the wrong side of the post after good work on the left from Oli Crimmins to set up the chance. Tom Reilly headed an Oli Crimmins corner against the Alphington crossbar and it seemed only a matter of time before Okehampton would eventually score. Alphington had created little in the opening 40 minutes but took the lead just before the break when Shaun Densham saw his shot blocked by Harry Geering but Sean Adderley was on hand to smash home the rebound. Okehampton had barely got out of second gear after the break when Chris Hollands misjudged a cross field ball which allowed Ryan Leverton room to fire a right foot volley over Geering for Alphington's second goal. In the 70th minute, Tom Reilly was red carded for a wild lunge on Densham and almost immediately, Alphington took advantage of the extra man when Ryan Moody cut in from the right before firing home from an acute angle. Worse still for Okehampton was that, having already used their only substitute, James Williams pulled up with a hamstring strain which effectively left the home side to play out time with nine men. n Okehampton's seconds went out of the Bill Slee Cup, going down 3-1 at Woodbury.
