Okehampton Argyle U16s 5

OKEHAMPTON started with a determined and positive attitude. The first half was entertaining with the visitors having lots of chances but unable to score until five minutes before the break. It was a great team effort that allowed Jamie Mallet to open the scoring.

It meant Okehampton went in to the second half determined to hold on to their lead and they dominated right from the restart of play.

Eight minutes into the second half Ben Barkwill was the first to start the scoring fest with a great goal right on target and this was closely followed by Josh Stanbury scoring bringing it to 3-0.

After a short period of great team play, Tom Stanbury added to the score sheet.

Okehampton were enjoying their football and displaying such control and dominance on the game that Ben Bickle had the final say by belting home a great goal to bring it to 5-0.

Every player put in such a committed performance that the result was well deserved and should give Okehampton their confidence back.

Ottery St Mary U15s 2

IN this quarter final league cup match on a freezing cold, windy afternoon it was Ottery that took the lead in the first half having the downhill advantage to 2-0.

The second half saw good play from Argyle's Jack Newton, Joe Turner and Niall. Harry Tickner scored from Tallon's cross to put Oke back in the match.

Within minutes Tallon made a good clear run to equalise. Brandon put Argyle ahead tapping in Tallon's near miss. To seal the win Charlie Richards scores the fourth for Oke from a good corner by Harry.

Argyle go through to the semi final against Heavitree Rockets.
