OKEHAMPTON first team travelled to Plymouth to face PGSOB A team and had the perfect start with Luke Miller scoring in the initial attack. This set the tone for the game as Okehampton played with an attacking style creating breaks and scoring opportunities.

Then, against the run of play, Okehampton conceded a goal as a mis-pass gifted PGSOB A’s an easy chance on goal.

Counter attacking, Reuben Bourne broke into the Plympton D and played a ball back to Josh Speak who was poised in front of goal, forcing the home side to concede another. Nick Luxton added a third to make it 3-1 to the visitors at the break.

Okehampton continued their intense pressure on the Plympton team and soon added two further goals; one from a great spell of play converted by captain Luke Liversidge, the other a sublime drag flick scored by Rob Hall after a penalty corner.

As the second half progressed, Okehampton were rash with their decision making and made life difficult for themselves as PGSOB A’s scored two goals as Oke struggled to keep the defensive structure. This fired up the home side as they sensed the chance of a point; however, any hope was immediately dismissed by George Morgan who took his chance to volley the ball into the net and secure the points for Okehampton.
