OKEHAMPTON Squash Club's second team started their 2015 fixtures in winning ways with an excellent victory away at Exeter Golf and Country Club.

Playing at string five Mike Crowhurst won a hard fought encounter winning 12-15, 15-8, 15-8. 9-15 and 15-9. At string four Dave Harwood won in three straight sets as did string three Stuart Lord.

The string two match was a tight affair with Okehampton's Shane Vallance playing some excellent squash to win 15-8, 7-15, 15-11, 15-1. Playing at string one Mark Gibbs unfortunately suffered a reccurrence of a recent knee injury half way through the third game but despite battling on went down  by three sets to one. It was a great result for the team.
