Bridgwater B 3
Okehampton A 2
THE home team started well. However, strong defending from Okehampton A's Tim Morgan and John Jarvis set up a counter attack, with Andy Strong able to get to the by-line and pull back a cross to Jack Watson to slot the ball into the back of the net to open the scoring.
Bridgwater B looked dangerous on the break and it was not long before they had pulled back level despite the hard work from Oke midfielders Brett Lawson, Toby Lloyd and Jake Lloyd.
The forward line then pressed the Bridgwater defence into a mistake and conceded a short corner. Oke skipper Brett Lawson squeezed his shot under the keeper to restore the visitors' lead. However, the home side drew level again shortly before half time as they dispatched a three-on-two situation.
Mark Bingham received a knock at the start of the second half. It meant Oke had to reshuffle the team with man of the match Stuart Jarvis being switched to an unfamiliar defensive position, but still able to bomb forward down the right wing to support the attackers.
Some quick reactions in goal from Hayden Bond and a goal-line clearance from Tom Hutchins kept the away side in the match but a conceded short corner led to a goal mouth scramble and Bridgwater scored the winner. The match finished 3-2.,
