OKEHAMPTON U12 girls hockey team travelled to Plymouth on Sunday to play in the next round of the Devon league.
The team took some time to settle in their first game but they played some exciting attacking hockey with Livvy and Charlie narrowly missing the goal.
There was stiffer opposition in the second game against Ashmoor but midfielders Emily and Freya ran tirelessly cutting out the Ashmoor attack and helping their team to a 0-0 draw.
Oke played an excellent game against Teign with captain Molly leading her team by example, tackling strongly and passing some quality balls to her forwards.
Okehampton put the Teign defence under intense pressure hitting the goal post twice but eventually Livvy scored the winning goal.
The final game was against a strong Plymouth Marjons team who forced the Oke team to defend deep in their own half.
Outstanding player of this match was Heidi who cut out many of the Marjons attacking moves.
Daisy cleared the ball well from the Okehampton circle and, despite some excellent saves from goalkeeper Louise, Marjons went on to win the game.
