CELINE Conley from Yelverton who has been nominated for the category of Young Volunteer of the Year at the 2016 Exeter Foundation Devon Sports Awards.

The 18 year-old has been nominated for her volunteering at Tavyside Badminton Club by head coach Alan Berry.

During 2015, her biggest achievements were helping to plan, develop and then deliver an eight week course to junior club players; helping with the coaching and then managing the West Devon Badminton Squad for the Devon Youth Games 2015; taking the initiative to undergo CPD training in working with adults with learning difficulties after one player needed more support.
