CHAGFORD were made to battle for this result, against a well organised opponent who took the lead after just five minutes.

Mark Gusterson found himself completely unmarked in Chagford's penalty area, with the time to slot the ball past Penberthy. The young Chagford goalkeeper was, however, to go on to make some top class saves, his Exmouth Ammies' counter-part also doing the same.

The Chagford attack was guilty of missing decent chances but eventually found an equaliser and then the lead. Stuart Potter was on hand to take advantage of confusion in the Exmouth box, firing home comfortably and soon after Davis set up Josh Stanbury for a reasonably easy tap-in.

Both teams came out strongly after the break, creating chances and again working both goalkeepers.

Canny substitutions gave Chagford fresh legs as well as more stability, finally paying off when Davon Friend netted just two minutes after coming on and six minutes from time.

CHAGFORD Reserves found themselves overwhelmed by promotion tipped Winchester.

Declan Vowden and Robert Speakman hit seven goals between them to send Chagford to their heaviest defeat for some time.
