CHAGFORD came home with three well earned points, largely thanks to Paul Penberthy and his defenders.

In a scrappy first half the contest was fairly even although Woodbury created early chances that needed good defending from Stuart Potter in particular. Chagford came back before the break, despite Woodbury having taken the lead through Daniel.

The second half was opened with Chagford seizing the initiative from the re-start. Josh Stanbury came to the fore and it was his superb cross the set Adam White up for the equaliser.

Penberthy made a couple superb saves mid-way through the half, that kept his team in touch. His colleagues took heart from these and capitalised by taking the lead through White — Josh Stanbury again being the provider. Andrew Davis rounded things off before the end to give the visitors maximum points.

LYMPSTONE'S performance on the day completely belied their lowly place in the table, Chagford having to match them on every part of the pitch.

Goals from Jamie Mallett and Rob Thorn secured Chagford a share of the points, a justifiably fair result.
