DESPITE the damp conditions at Okehampton Golf Club a large field entered a four ball two to count Stableford on Saturday.

It proved to be a very closely fought competition and after countback first place went to Nicholas Heath, Rod Wright, Trevor Parker and Ted Boswell with 77 points on the back six.

Second place went to Malcolm Hill, Kevin Cornwall, Mark Wonnacott and Arnie Searle.

The team comprising of Richard Johnson, Martin Cox, Chris Hurley and Mark Curtis were third with 76 points on the back nine.
