THE finals of the Bovey Castle Dartmoor Inter-Primary Schools Cricket Competition were played.
Twenty six teams from 14 schools having played qualifying matches earlier in the month, were divided into two days of cricket. Those that finished in positions 11 to 26 played for the Shield and Trophy at Chagford CC. The top ten teams played at Lewdown CC for the Cup.
The trophy final was won by North Tawton C against Chagford B after a contest between teams from North Tawton, South Tawton, Chagford, Hatherleigh, Northlew and Lifton. The shield final saw North Tawton A beat South Tawton B.
At Lewdown for the cup final, there were teams from Lewtrenchard, Boasley Cross, Lydford, Black Torrington, Hatherleigh, Moretonhampstead, South Tawton, Lifton and Chagford
South Tawton edged out Chagford to be crowned The Dartmoor Cup Champions 2013.
