OKEHAMPTON Hockey Club girls B team played in the latest round of the Devon U14 league in Torbay on Sunday. The girls narrowly lost to Teign with Annie Strawbridge scoring for Oke. They also played a strong Exe team forcing goalie Rosie Higgs to make several superb saves but the Oke team could not penetrate the Exe defence.
The Oke U14s girls A team played their latest round of the same tournament in Okehampton on Sunday. They lost their first match to Marjons but beat ISCA emphatically by 6-4.
Okehampton boys' U14s, playing together for the first time this season, had a 3-2 win against Teign with goals from Will Cunningham and Cole Pengelly. They then lost 0-4 to a strong Marjons A team with goalkeeper James Stevens making some great saves.
