ZOE Bennett, a pupil of Okehampton Primary School. is the new U11s girls Devon table tennis champion.

The Okehampton Table Tennis Club player beat off the competition which was held at Eggbuckland Community College in Plymouth. The annual event was well represented with entrants coming from as far afield as China.

It was the first time Zoe, aged 11, had entered the competition so it was a great result to come out as champion - especially as she who only took up the sport at school only three years before.

Zoe, has represented the South West region at the national championships in Birmingham
