OKEHAMPTON started off their first cup game looking strong. With Jo Moppett carrying out a skilful dribble past five players, she pelted the ball to the back of the goal, to put Okehampton 1-0 up at half time.

After some encouragement from the supporters on the sideline, Okehampton reappeared with great determination in the second half.

A smooth pass from Nicki Stoneman to Molly Petherbridge led to another goal by Moppett. Oke's teamwork and positive attitude brought a third goal - having been awarded a short corner, passes between Moppett and captain Kimmy lead to a hat-trick for Moppett.

Okehampton's motivation did not fade, with a strike from Davey which hit a player's foot, Okehampton was awarded a flick but it was just saved by the opposing keeper.

Sidmouth fought against Okehampton's strong defence including Jane Jones, goalie Osman and player of the match Katie Adams, who worked hard to save many goals.

After many saves and a full stretch dive from Osman, the ball was scraped along the line and into the Oke goal. However, Okehampton's positivity remained throughout and they went on to win the game 3-1.
