ANOTHER depleted Chagford team went down by the previous week's score, keeping them to mid-table. The first half was a close thing, the students taking the lead but with their guests creating chances and hitting the woodwork.
The second half saw the University raise their game and take control, with many tipping them to win the division. Deputy 'keeper, Paul Penberthy earned praise for some dogged saves and clearances.
Chagford travel to Newtown Reserves, looking to repeat their home result against tough opponents.

TWO goals from Andrew Davis, in the first 12 minutes, gave Chagford a flying start in this relegation battle.
The first came as Davis collected the ball on the edge of the penalty area, lined up the shot and fired into the bottom corner of Tilley's goal. Ten minutes later, Fehim slotted a perfect ball through to Davis who skipped past the 'keeper and rolled the ball home. This seemed to revive Lympstone and they came forward more strongly. Chagford had to defend their lead and Tom Pengelly, in the home goal, looked confident and made one top class reflex save.
The second half continued the cut and thrust game from both sides. Chagford played good passing and moving football, though some lack of control cost them possession all too often.
Both goalkeepers were tested, Tilley making a couple of flying saves although he was lucky not to concede a penalty by upending Davis. New signing Liam O'Connell came on for Fehim to continue the torment of the visitors' right back. Within minutes the youngster was brought down, skipper Jake Rowe inviting Davis to complete his hat-trick from the spot. There was just enough time for Davis to stab home his fourth despite two visiting players clattering him in the process.
