OKEHAMPTON Argyle U10s finally finished their season with a sterling all round performance in the Countess Wear five-a-side competition.
Argyle won six of their seven group games to progress into the semi finals where they met Brixington Blues. They progressed to the final after winning 9-8 on penalties in a 'nail biting' penalty shootout.
The final was played out against AFC Plympton who won 4-0.
Argyle left with the runners-up trophy and their heads held high after a long and successful season, finishing third in the league, winning one tournament and being among the top teams at three others.
Their hard work in the league has paid off with a league one place next season in the U11s Exeter and district three tier area.
Credit also goes to the hard work of coaches Steve Parsons and Steve Close who have gelled the side into formidable opponents.
The team also thanks all the miles covered by the travelling parents to support them.
