AN unseasonally warm afternoon saw only a small crowd at Cullompton, but those who were there witnessed some great attacking rugby from both sides on a firm wide pitch.

Cullompton struck first with a try out wide which was not converted. North Tawton struck back with another excellent try from fullback Hayley who ran underneath the posts, Jo McBain missed the conversion.

The first half became end to end with excellent play from both sets of forwards and some good breaks from the backs and the scoring went back and forth with Hayley and Tasha Currie scoring leaving the score honours 15-5.

After half-time North Tawton took control of the second half. Hayley ran in the first try of the half for her hat-trick.

Dawn Avery stepped up to successfully kick the conversion

North Tawton then scored three more tries from a mixture of forwards and backs —another great win for the league leaders.
