OKEHAMPTON Reserves started the year well with a convincing win against Exeter side HT Dons.

The opening exchanges were fairly even and the visitors soon showed their intentions with a series of heavy tackles, a couple of which led to bookings. This style of play does not intimidate Okehampton Reserves however, and they went on to dominate the opening half with goals from Neil Thomas and Connor Mills being just reward for the overall performance.

Dave Medland added a third soon after the break and control of the game was never lost, allowing Argyle manager Gareth Bridge to utilise all three substitudes giving everyone a good run out.

It is a shame for Argyle there is no game next week to keep things going as the next match will be in a fortnight with the return fixture of this game in Exeter.

In the Devon and Exeter premier Okehampton Arggyle first temam went down 7-1 to Exwick Villa.
