THE game was a lot tighter than the scoreline suggests. In a hard fought game the home side took an early lead from a corner by an own goal.

However, it still did not prevent Argyle from keeping on battling and they pulled one back with a superb goal from Kian Burns. The visitors added two more before half time from Neil Thomas and Kian Burns to make it 1-3 at the interval.

The second half was even until the home side was awarded a penalty. which they missed.

Argyle took advantage and added a fourth from an excellent free kick from Kian Burns before Steve Madge broke through the home defence to add Argyle’s fifth.

The visitors never gave up and were the well deserve winners of the match. There were some outstanding performances from three, 16 year-olds Kian Burns, Liam Benstead and James Bridgman.
