WITH the first team and U18 games both falling victim to the weather, the focus turned to the Argyle Veterans at Simmons Park on Sunday.

A strong Okehampton line up controlled most of the play but failed to convert many of the chances created and finished the first half with just a 1-0 lead.

They doubled the advantage within minutes of resuming, only to concede from what was one of the few Adams’ attacks.

This focussed the Oke minds and they swiftly scored twice to regain complete control. Being able to take advantage of a full subs bench of five allowed fresh legs to complete the job adding a further three goals to end up with a convincing 7-1 victory.

As the Argyle Veterans only play once a month this was their last fixture of 2017 and after three wins out of three they head their division and are well placed to push for promotion.
