RIGHT from the kick off Argyle (pictured in yellow and blue shirts) looked up for this game and had plenty of chances before Ivan Kalinov scored with a superb header.
Argyle kept in control and Kalinov added his and Argyle’s second to make it 2-0 at half-time.
After the break the visitors pulled one back before the Reserves stepped up a gear and were rewarded with a third through Steve Madge and an excellent strike from Freddy Lawrence.
Cheriton came back with a goal of their own and nearly scored again but Tom Dennis pulled off a top class save.
Argyle increased their lead to 5-2 with a goal from Josh Tickner and then were awarded a penalty when Ivan Kalinov was tripped in the box. Ryan Arthurs had his ‘goal’ disallowed for a player encroaching in the the box and his retake went over the crossbar.
However Argyle were not to be denied as Ivan Kalinov hit his hat-trick goal for 6-2 before a late reply from the visitors. Argyle are second in the league behind Sidmouth.
Meanwhile, in the Devon and Exeter premier league Argyle’s first drew 3-3 with Cronies after conceeding two late goals.
