DESPITE going a goal behind early on, Chagford came back in style and earned their first maximum of the season.

Young Franky Astill-Sheppard stole the show with two goals with skipper Andrew Davis bagging the other.

CHAGFORD’s second string left the pitch with bowed heads, knowing they had thrown away three points with a lacklustre show.

Rovers struck two early goals within a minute of each other, to take the lead. Paul Penberthy pulled a goal back before the break but still Chagford could not raise their game.

Although they created a few chances, the home side failed to capitalise. Penberthy hit the visitors’ cross-bar but Rovers netted twice more to claim victory.
