CHAGFORD’s poor league run continued with another narrow loss that keeps them in the lower half of the division.

Josh Stanbury converted a cross by Hutchinson to give the visitors a second half lead but the Somerset side came back with late goals, to take all three points.

CHAGFORD’s second string ended their own recent run of defeats with a last gasp winner from Jack Hirst.

Having bossed the match but failed to convert possession into goals, the hosts seemed to be heading for a draw before Hirst finally set the seal for three much needed points.

This was a great improvement on the team’s 1-8 defeat to North Tawton in round two of the Hutching Cup.
