THIS is the first season Okehampton Argyle has had an Under 18 team and with all the  squad U17 the club are hoping for a better season next season.

In the final game Argyle hosted Alphington, a side much older containing some county players. The  first ten minutes was a disaster for Argyle and they found themselves 0-2 down. Argyle then settled down and went in half time with hope in the second half.

The second half started much as the first, with Alphington in control  and added to their tally to make it 0-3   Then Argyle started to battle and pulled a goal back from George Walsh. They went on to create more chances but Alphington ended up 3-1 winners.

Argyle manager Phil Squires said: ‘We are fortunate to have completed our matches this season due to the weather and this would not be viable  if we did not have help from staff at Ashbury Manor  by loaning us their 3G pitch which we would like to thank them. Also thank you to our sponsors, Jewsons of Okehampton.’
