OKEHAMPTON put up a great fight in their cup match at home versus Braunton.

A difficult draw against last season’s North Devon League division champions was always going to be a stern test for Okehampton and the visitors may have felt they had one foot in the next round by half-time, leading 4-1.

A much stronger second half showing from Okehampton could have led to an improbable comeback, but argyle fell just short.

Ed Squire, Corey Burns and Toby Gosling got the goals for the home side, but goals from Chris Roberts, Luke Austen and a brace from Ricky Marinaro were enough to send Braunton to the next round.
