Okehampton Argyle 2
Topsham 0
A SUNNY Simmons Park saw a great game between the two teams who, at the start of play, held the bottom two slots in the league table.
With so much at stake it was understandable that the game started cautiously with neither team wanting to make a mistake.
The first half continued in the same vain with the teams going in all square at half time with nothing to show for their efforts.
The second half was a different matter as Okehampton ramped up the pressure. They were rewarded with their first goal when good work from George Walsh set up Harry Tickner who duly took his opportunity. This was then followed by a fine pass from Jamie Atherton to Josh Tickner who smashed the ball in from 12 yards to seal the victory.
It was a good day for Okehampton and the Tickner brothers. As a result of gaining the the points, Argyle have now gone above both Topsham and Seaton Town.
