Buckley Cup
Belstone v Yeoford
YEOFORD struggled from the off against Belstone in the latest Buckley Cup 20-over match played in dismal conditions on a wet ground.
All the Belstone bowlers proved hard to get away and, with some sharp close catches taken, wickets fell regularly with only two batsmen reaching double figures.
Belstone bowler Dan Fogerty (4-2-6-0) was most economical but most successful were Callum Mallett (4-0-13-3) and, returning after a season away, Luke Wonnacott (3-0-13-3). Needing only 59 to win Belstone completed their win in 12 overs thanks to Jamie Walker (25 retired), Scott Tremain (22) and Tom Pearce (13 not out).
Belstone (14 points) beat Yeoford (2 pts) by nine wickets.
