Plymouth Marjon C 0

Okehampton firsts 6

OKEHAMPTON Hockey Club men continued there unbeaten start to their league campaign with an easy victory in Plymouth.

The visitors took an early lead when Tom Forrester scored from Mark Parsons cut back. The classy Forrester then provided the next goal as he set up Parsons for the easiest of finishes. The third soon followed when the away side countered quickly and from the half way line Luke Miller and Parsons exchanged passes and the later hit his second goal and killed any hope the hosts had in the process.

Miller then had two great opportunities and Lewis Day, who caused problems on the left all game, nearly got another goal but the keeper pounced and Forrester's follow up was cleared off the line.

Man of the match Forrester was unplayable at this point and he converted his second with a lovely flicked finish beyond the keeper after good work again from Miller. The fifth came ten minutes before half time and Parsons scored his hat-trick when Miller crossed and Parsons swept the ball into the roof of the net past a helpless keeper.

The home side created little but anything that did get through Oke's superb defence was equaled by keeper Andy Harvey.

The second half saw little real action apart from the sixth goal and Forrester's hat-trick. Sam Whalley with an excellent run and cross to find Forrester and squeezed it past the keeper.
